Keeping ahead of the snow and rain — and keeping dry while doing it — were the main challenges of the day on Wednesday. At top, Slush sprays into the air ahead of a plow clearing the Shaw's plaza on Route 131 in Sturbridge Wednesday. Center, Ray Snow of Southbridge makes sure the walkways in front of Big Bunny Supermarket are clear. Bottom, Justin Bernard, of Southbridge, walks across Main Street with trusty umbrella during the afternoon's rain. While this storm moved out, there's a bit more waiting in the wings. The forecast called for rain and snow likely until early Friday morning, followed by snow and more rain in the afternoon. A chance of snow showers then remains likely through Sunday.
