Baby brings love — and tax break for parents

SOUTHBRIDGE — Few people would think having a baby could save them money, but that is the serendipitous luck of the Hill family.

Residents of Brookfield, Kyle and Traci Hill have a big family, and it just got a little bit bigger.

Married for just more than seven years Kyle and Traci just brought their fourth child — and fourth daughter — Moira, into the world on the last day of 2009 at Harrington Memorial Hospital in Southbridge. Moira's birth marked the last delivery of the year at Harrington, and has been recognized by the Southbridge office of H&R Block for its key timing, making her parents eligible for more then $3,000 in deductions this coming tax season.

"The due date was the seventh of January, but it came little early," Kyle Hill said from his home on Saturday, Jan. 2, just a couple days after Moira's birth.
