STURBRIDGE — The Tantasqua Education (Ted) Foundation is asking locals to tune up their taste buds for one of two major fundraisers for the year: Tastefully Ted.

For a $25 admission, supporters of the organization that funds teaching initiatives can sample a variety of gourmet desserts all provided by local chefs from the Publick House, Red Roof Catering, Romaldo's, Rovezzi's and Vienna, as well as take a few chances to win any number of monetary prizes.

Tastefully Ted is supplemented by only one other major fundraiser later in the year.

"We have one in the fall and one, which is this one coming up, that's kind of a pre-Valentines Day," said James Glickman, a member of the Ted Board of Directors.

Brian Galonek, also a member of the Board of Directors, said the event, which will take place on Friday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Publick House, is a much-anticipated follow up to the first Tastefully Ted held early in 2009.
