DUDLEY — There are many events that shape a young person's life, one of those being high school graduation. For more than 300 Dudley and Charlton seniors, the day came and went amidst a sea of emotions.

Shepherd Hill Regional High School held its 36th commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 7. The afternoon ceremony took place at DCU Center in Worcester. With doors opening at 12:30 p.m., parents and seniors alike were there early to find a seat and take part in the excitement of the day.

As the lines of people made their way into the venue there was one young man who quickly clicked text messages into his cell phone as he walked toward the doors.

"My girlfriend is graduating today," said Shepherd Hill junior Christopher Valentini. "She is really excited about today but at the same time anxious. College is going to be a big change, but she hopes it will be a good one."
