February's North Street fire officially ruled arson
June 05, 2009
SOUTHBRIDGE — Months of investigation and research have confirmed what fire officials first suspected — the fire that engulfed a triple-decker home on North Street in February was deliberately set.
"It was arson," Fire Chief Richard Ciesla said Friday afternoon. "It's a definite set fire."
Now comes the next part — catching those responsible. For that, police and fire investigators are asking the public's help.
They won't be starting from scratch.
"There are suspects," Ciesla said, without going into detail.
