STURBRIDGE — For the second time this year, the Finance Committee has expressed concern over the lack of a full-time police officer stationed at Tantasqua High School.
"My mission is to see this resource officer in place on the first day of school in August, and I don't care how he's funded, or she's funded," said Finance Committee member Priscilla Gimas, who has also served as education liaison for the past year.
At a Monday night meeting of the Board of Selectmen, the Finance Committee raised the issue it considers dire.
The concern stemmed from the Finance Committee's responsibility to make suggestions to other town bodies, and what it perceived as a lack of action when the issue was first raised.
