STURBRIDGE — Drawing from her affinity for art and animals, seventh grader Anna Nimmo has found a creative way to support a great cause.

While most kids her age are focused on the new school year and participating in fall sports, Nimmo has been busy creating dog bandanas to raise money to help end Alzheimer's disease. Guided by the slogan, "Every Step Counts," she has put in several hours of effort into the project.

"She really believes that every step counts to end Alzheimer's," said Anna's mother, Joan Nimmo. "She came up with a great way to combine her love of animals and her desire to support a cause close to our hearts."
