SOUTHBRIDGE — For the Town Council, Monday was a day of delay.

After Councilor Laurent McDonald pointed out that members didn't have the Green-Brown contract to review before voting to extend it, the council unanimously postponed doing so until next meeting.

He argued that the members didn't have a clear "justification for renewing this contract" based only on what Health Director James Morin told them a few weeks ago. Instead, he said, the council should have a presentation from the contractor, Erik Jacobsen, something Councilor Darlene Marcucci has been requesting for several meetings now.
