North Brookfield man busted in house breaks

Caught with help of local jewelers

SOUTHBRIDGE — A former local resident got an unpleasant birthday gift Aug. 30 when police arrested him on 13 charges related to a string of house burglaries in town.

The following day, Joshuah Ross, 30, of an unknown address in North Brookfield, but last known to be living at 78 Pine St., Southbridge, was arraigned at Dudley District Court on charges of felony daytime burglary of a building, larceny from a building, three counts of larceny under false pretenses, five counts of defacing property, conspiracy and receiving stolen goods. He pled not guilty and was held on $2,000 bail, with his next court date Sept. 24.

His attorney, Richard Machado, could not be reached for comment Thursday afternoon.
