STURBRIDGE — For five years, the Angel of Hope memorial garden at St. Anne's Shrine has served as a source of inspiration for parents who lost a child.

On Saturday, Sept. 15, a special event will be held to honor the fifth anniversary of the garden's dedication.

Organized by Sylvia Gaumond, of Southbridge, and Linda Bilodeau, of Shrewsbury, the event will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the St. Anne's Shrine outdoor pavilion. The highlight of the ceremony will be a concert performed by renowned speaker and singer Alan Pedersen, whose only daughter was killed in a car accident in 2001. There will be no admission charge at the event, but guests are encouraged to make a donation.
