Downtown plan seeks owners willing to combine

SOUTHBRIDGE — Financing development is always a tricky process in the best of times.

Trying to do it to redevelop a historic downtown when there are multiple owners involved requires a lot of coordination, time and money.

That's what the Redevelopment Authority is hoping to do. On Thursday evening, Aug. 23, they had consultants Ted Carman and Dan Benoit lay out the "unbelievably complicated" combination of programs and entities needed to revitalize the core of Main, Hamilton, Foster and Central streets.
