Middle/high school TV studio sparks Council spat

SOUTHBRIDGE — A split Town Council approved funding for equipment at the middle/high school's library and media studio despite the fact they didn't have an actual cost or list of items to purchase.

Those things will come later, because the spending is contingent on approval by the Cable Access Committee – up to $60,000 is coming from the town's contract with Charter Communications, another $60,000 is already in the school project budget.

That "cart before the horse" approach bothered four of the councilors and a few people in the audience.
