CHARLTON — Folks in town who don't have cable will soon be able to watch TVCharlton broadcasts live from their homes anyway.

Selectmen unanimously approved the Cable Access Committee's request to move forward with upgrades that would allow for live online streaming of everything that is shown on the town's public access channel at the Board's Tuesday, July 24 meeting.

Currently, only residents who subscribe to Charter Communications cable television can view channels 11, 12, and 13, leaving those in town who don't have a TV or who subscribe to other services, like satellite TV, to miss out on the town's local education and government programming.
