CHARLTON — The Charlton City United Methodist Church recently welcomed a new pastor to their congregation.

The Rev. Tae Sung Kang, who originally hails from Korea, now calls the little town of Charlton home. While he said he could have never imagined where his life would take him, he always knew his work would be within the church.

It all started back in Teajean City, Korea, where Kang's father was a member of Methodist ministry. When Kang was involved in a nearly fatal car accident when he was just five years old, he knew his life's path.
