STURBRIDGE — Former Tantasqua Regional High School graduate turned movie star Jennifer Lafleur recently enjoyed a special screening of one of her movies with friends and family at Cinemagic Theater.

When an opportunity presented itself for Lafleur's movie, "The Do-Deca-Pentathlon," to be shown at the theater on July 10, she was thrilled to have a chance to present her work to childhood friends. The Brookfield native was always very involved in theater at school, and after many years of hard work she was able to achieve success in the highly competitive acting business.

"My parents always joked that I was singing and performing before I formed sentences," Lafleur said. "I studied medicine and then communications, but my passion was always theater and performing."
