SOUTHBRIDGE — It's more than just food for thought; it's food for maintaining healthy bodies, for keeping young minds sharp, and for making sure that summer isn't the season of want for local students.

Dozens, even hundreds, of youngsters (from preschool through age 18) are already taking advantage of this summer's Food Service Program, which provides free, nutritious meals – both breakfast and lunch – at several sites throughout town.

All sites don't maintain the same schedule, or necessarily even the same menu or days of operation, but all do offer what kids under their stewardship need in terms of basic daily nutrition.

For more on this story, please see tomorrow's Southbridge Evening News.
