STURBRIDGE — The waiting is finally over.

Residents and town officials desired a movie theater for many years, and their wish became a reality on Friday, June 29, with the grand opening of Cinemagic Theater at the Center at Hobbs Brook.

Hundreds of people from area towns beat the sweltering heat on Friday and watched a movie in one of the theater's eight auditoriums. Employees and guests were impressed by the turnout, and the theater promises to be a favorite summer vacation destination for many families.
